The Presbyterian church is the oldest standing stone church in Ellis County and is registered in the National Register of Historical Places. Construction began in September 1879 and concluded in March 1880. This beautiful little building boasts a limestone exterior and some truly stunning stained glass windows. The Presbyterian was purchased by ECHS July 1974. Though the brick addition would serve as the home base for the society, the original limestone structure became part of the exhibits.
The Stone Church is currently unavailable for viewing due to environmental problems in the churches.
